How To Be Lonely
How to Be Lonely is the story of The Last Living Person and his encounter with Skeleton Woman. He is the last member of our species, the final vessel of humanity’s memories. She is there to help him end well. This large-scale pop-up book imagines how we can cultivate a meaningful relationship with death, and suggests a way to contemplate the end of the world without despair.
How To Be Lonely premiered at Open Eye Figure Theatre as part of Puppet Lab 2020, an artistic incubator that supports the development of radical, genre-expanding, boundary–pushing puppet work of emerging puppet artists.
How to Be Lonely is available to tour.
