A selection of crankies I have built and performed.

This crankie was made as a music video for the song 'Tending A Garden' by Otto Rollo and featuring Quinn Tsan (2017). The crankie scroll took three months to design and cut out. It is 12 feet (four meters) long.

This “trick crankie” features multiple scrolls in the same crankie box. It joyfully and chaotically teaches the audience to sing together in the round.

A version of this crankie was first performed as part of The Elements of Style at The Neofuturarium (Chicago), directed by Trent Lunsford. The final version was presented as part of Minneapolis Crankie Fest 2023.

I was the Supertitle Designer for Mixed Percipitation’s “Pickup Truck Opera vol. 4: Faust”. The giant crankie on stage is over 200ft long and was hand lettered. I built various supertitle props that appeared throughout the show. The show toured across Minnesota during summer 2024.
